” Clos des Ch\u00e2tains<\/em> is a wine of good composition. Light and easy to drink, it goes generously with the simplest dishes: grilled meats, chops, rib steaks… making it an essential partner for high-end barbecue enthusiasts. Made from old Cabernet Franc vines that have been digging into a clay-limestone terroir for nearly 60 years, this Saumur Champigny offers aromas of black fruit and hints of spice, but always with a certain freshness. To be enjoyed immediately, it will bring everyone around the table to the same conclusion.

\nTotal destemming of the grapes.
\nLong and gentle maceration: from 19 to 21 days, temperature control (23-28\u00b0C), gentle pumping over using a 20hl flask inserted into the vat which is deflated every day.
\nAlcohol content : 13.7\u00b0 – Acidity : 3.5
\nBreeding <\/b>
\nAt the end of malolactic fermentation, the wine is aerated and then racked over the next 15 months and sparingly, to preserve the aromatic complexity. Pre-assembly of the various vats in November 2022, followed by the end of ageing until bottling in December 2022.
\nServing: 18-20\u00b0C <\/b>
\nPerfect for immediate consumption but can evolve for 3 to 8 years without worries.
\nWine tasting <\/b>
\nThe garnet-red colour<\/b> is deep and limpid.
\nThe nose opens<\/b> with aromas of red fruit, dominated by cherries, a hint of fern and blue flowers.
\nSupple and round on the palate.<\/b> The same aromas as on the nose, of red berries with a hint of black fruit and liquorice. The tannins are silky with the small grains so characteristic of the tufa terroir of the Saumur region.

Domaine de Nerleux is a family estate in the Loire Valley. The Nerleux, \u201cBlack Wolves\u201d in old French, have long since given way to the vine and it is Am\u00e9lie Neau, 9th generation of winegrowers who has been at the head since 2010.
\nThe latest generation is represented by Am\u00e9lie Neau who, in 2010, after ten years of professional experience in the banking sector, answered the call of the land, her land. After training in viticulture and winemaking, she joined her parents, Elisabeth and R\u00e9gis, on the estate.
