\nHarvesting (mechanical) often takes place at the end of the harvest period.<\/strong> Before vatting, the harvest is carefully sorted<\/strong>.
\nFermentation remains traditional, without yeasting<\/strong>, in thermo-regulated vats for a fortnight in order to preserve the fruit and gain structure, but keeping a slight minerality.
\nAgeing for 10 months<\/strong> in cement vats, light filtration.
\nAn elegant palate with a nice fatness, fleshy, slightly spicy and a slightly mineral finish in accordance with its terroir.

In 1967, Guy and Anne-Marie Duveau<\/b><\/strong> began farming their land in a mixed farming system. In addition to a few acres of vines in Bourgueil<\/b><\/strong>, they grow asparagus, green beans, cereals and tobacco…
\n<\/span>From 1967 onwards, Guy and Anne-Marie<\/b><\/strong> were fully-fledged winegrowers, working the vines, making the wine, ageing it and marketing the wines they produced.
\n<\/span>From 1976 onwards, the area under vines began to increase to the detriment of other crops. This will continue to increase until it reaches 22 hectares in the Bourgueil<\/b><\/strong>, St Nicolas de Bourgueil<\/b><\/strong> and<\/strong> IGP<\/b><\/strong> appellations for the whites.
\n<\/strong><\/span>In 1995 Guy went into partnership with Dominique<\/b><\/strong> (his son) and founded the Gaec Duveau Coulon fils. They chose “Domaine du Rochouard<\/b><\/strong>” as their name; the name of the emblematic and historic parcel of the house located near Bourgueil Abbey, the cradle of winegrowing in the Bourgueil area.
It was in 1995 that the notion of plot selection<\/b><\/strong> was evoked at the estate; from there, the cuv\u00e9es \u201cPierre du Lane\u201d in St Nicolas de Bourgueil and \u201cLe Coteau\u201d in Bourgueil were born and a few years later \u201cArgiles \u00e0 Silex\u201d a cuv\u00e9e of old vines on the clays of St Nicolas.
\n<\/span>Dominique is moving more and more towards integrated farming<\/b><\/strong> (fewer pesticides, no more insecticides and a sharp reduction in the use of chemical weedkillers).
\n<\/span>Since 2007, Guy has handed over to Jean-Luc<\/b><\/strong> (due to retirement). Together with Dominique (his brother), they brought the estate into the world of Organic Farming<\/b><\/strong> (stopping chemical weeding in 2010), starting the AB conversion in 2012 and, after three years, obtaining the AB label
\n<\/b><\/strong> in 2015.<\/span>In 2010, a first \u201catypical\u201d cuv\u00e9e was born, an integral \u201cR\u201d cuv\u00e9e, followed 5 years later by a natural cuv\u00e9e \u201cLes Onze Boissel\u00e9es\u201d
