Chardonnay vines about thirty years old on sandy-gravelly soils on limestone and sandy-clay
\nsubsoil Fermentation and ageing in stainless steel vats.
\nA Chardonnay that offers a beautiful freshness, a supple palate with notes of peach, citrus with a beautiful saline finish.<\/p>\n

Tasting:<\/strong>
\nTo be served between 10 \u00b0C and 12 \u00b0C, our white Orl\u00e9ans reveals a brilliant straw yellow colour and a nose of white flowers, peach, apricot and citrus, with a palate that is at first lively then warm, unctuous, with a saline finish.<\/p>\n

\nTerroir :<\/strong>sandy-gravelly soils on limestone and sandy-clay subsoil
\nAverage age of vines:<\/strong> 35 years
\nYield:<\/strong> 50 hl\/ha
\nPlanting density <\/strong> :4,000 to 6,000 plants\/ha<\/p>\n

Culture:<\/strong>
\nThe vineyard is managed in sustainable farming. The vines are grassed and pruned using the Guyot simple method. Every year we carry out meticulous disbudding, removing double buds to give the main bud maximum ventilation and light.<\/p>\n

Winemaking:<\/strong>
\nWe harvest only in the morning to benefit from a low temperature in order to preserve a maximum of aromatic freshness. This is followed by pneumatic pressing and static cold settling at a temperature below 10\u00b0C for 36 hours. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at 18-20\u00b0C and the wines are matured on fine lees until bottling.<\/p>\n

The history of Clos Saint-Fiacrespan
\n<\/span>The Montigny-Piel family has been perpetuating the Clos Saint-Fiacre winegrowing tradition in Mareau-aux-Pr\u00e9s for several generations. The family has been cultivating vines there since 1635 on the best terroirs of the Orl\u00e9ans and Orl\u00e9ans-Cl\u00e9ry appellations of controlled origin (AOC<\/a>).
\nB\u00e9n\u00e9dicte and Hubert Piel took over the family estate in 2001, following in the footsteps of Daniel Montigny who worked for 25 years at the head of the wine syndicate to obtain the Orl\u00e9ans and Orl\u00e9ans-Cl\u00e9ry appellations.
