MUSCADET CUVÉE ACADÉMIE MARTIN LUNEAU

The Nantes region, located in the far west of the Loire Valley, benefits from a temperate oceanic climate, with maritime influences that promote the ripeness of the grapes while preserving the natural acidity. The very varied soils give the wines of Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine an incomparable typicity, recognized since the seventeenth century for the production of great gastronomic whites. These wines have the ability to age admirably thanks to their natural balance between liveliness and mineral finesse.

In terms of food and wine pairings, the Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine from Domaine Martin Luneau goes wonderfully with seafood. We naturally think of oysters, shellfish and crustaceans, whose iodized freshness it will sublimate. It will also go very well with grilled fish, a plate of sardines from Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, or the regional speciality that is the “mouclade” (mussels with cream and curry). For more refined pairings, a fish terrine or fresh goat’s cheese will also find their place at the table.

For optimal tasting, serve this dry white between 8 and 10°C. This temperature will reveal all its freshness, vivacity and subtle mineral notes, while appreciating the silkiness brought by the ageing on lees. To be enjoyed in the next two to three years to fully enjoy its aromatic expression.

Description

Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie: a rich, powerful, mineral wine of exceptional finesse, it will seduce you with noble fish and scallops.

This Muscadet is selected with the greatest care. It is reared on lees for one year. Its original terroir (very clayey) associated with a respectable vine gives us a wine of character with accents of gunflint. This top-of-the-range cuvée will be a worthy accompaniment to your aperitifs and fish.

Serve chilled at 8-10°.
