So calling it Malbec or Pressac was the same. It is generally called Auxerrois in the Cahors region, while in Bordeaux it retains the name of the other producer who brought it to the region (Malbeck). It is known as Côt in the Loire region, particularly in Touraine.

Le « côt », vieux cépage très utilisé en Touraine, est un synonyme de « malbec » dans le Bordelais ou « auxerrois » à Cahors.
It’s a powerful, tannic grape variety that’s often described as rustic.
Vinification
:Cold maceration for a week to extract the flavours without the tannins, then fermentation for 12 days at a temperature of 22°.
Aged on lees for 3 months.
Tasting:
This is a round wine with very pronounced aromas of cherries and violets and a full, supple palate.
This is a wine that can be drunk young with fruit, or laid down for a few years.

Decant a few hours before serving.
Shelf life from 2 to 10 years.
