CRÉMANT DE LOIRE BRUT CHÂTEAU DE LA FASSARDIÈRE
12,00 € incl. VAT
The vineyard, managed by the Poitevin family, extends over the communes of Turquant and Montsoreau, which are part of the AOC Saumur Champigny. The terroir is made up of clay-limestone soil and precious tufa rock in the subsoil. This tuffeau stone, which is the hallmark of the Loire Valley’s cultural identity through its countless castles, abbeys, towns and villages, provides vines with a regular supply of water, even in times of drought, thanks to its porosity. Tuffeau also brings freshness and fruitiness to our cuvées.
The two characteristic grape varieties of our appellation are Cabernet Franc and Chenin. Cabernet Franc for the production of red wines in the Saumur Champigny appellation which gives us cuvées with velvety and fruity tannins with different structures depending on the winemaking method.
