1 hectare of Genouillet.
The estate works the vineyard in a spirit and approach of the greatest respect for nature.
The estate offers a vintage in Sauvignon:
The “Tradition” vintage is a blend of all of our plots located on the left and right banks of the Cher, growing on clay-sandy soil, which gives a slightly more present minerality in our white wine. There is also a red wine made from Pinot Noir grapes, and a rosé wine made from Pinot Gris grapes. These two wines are classified as “vin de pays des coteaux du Cher et de l’Arnon”.
​A new addition is “Intemporel”, a wine made from a plantation of Genouillet, a rare and ancient grape variety from Berry.

This ancient grape variety has been brought up to date by our estate. Its notes of fresh, crunchy red fruit and roundness are sure to surprise you!

Le Genouillet,Domaine Villalin in Quincy 18120, Vin de France

Originally from central France, before the phylloxera crisis it was the main grape variety grown in the vineyards of Berry (Champagne berrichonne). Little replanted when the vineyards were reconstituted after the Phylloxera crisis, there were only 2 ha of Genouillet left in 1958. Genouillet has been listed in the official catalogue since 2011. In 2020, seven winegrowers planted Genouillet and produce single varietal or blended wines. 3 hectares today

Aromas of fresh red fruit, crunchy with a round and greedy palate, slightly spicy.
