Description

TASTING

COLOUR: Pale gold

NOSE: The nose is expressive and multifaceted, inviting ripe white-fleshed fruits such as peach, nashi and candied pineapple.

PALATE: The palate is supple and airy and feels like you’re biting into peach and nectarine. The finish is long and fruity.

This great white wine from the Nantes vineyards expresses a great aromatic finesse where notes of white fruit and intense minerality mingle.

On the palate, richness and freshness are its main assets. Made from the melon B grape variety, this wine is harvested from old vines (more than 40 years old), and from a Gabbro subsoil. A green harvest combined with an extended ageing on lees of 24 to 30 months allows the aromas to be concentrated and to obtain a wine of a richness and breadth worthy of the greatest white wines. After 4-5 years, this wine reaches maturity.

It will seduce you as an aperitif, with noble fish in sauce, white meats and cheeses, especially goat’s cheese.

Aeration (passage in a carafe) is strongly recommended. Serving temperature 10-12°. Gorges Grand Cru of Muscadet
