The Château de la Fessardière, built in the seventeenth century, houses under its large terrace the entrance to the older wine cellar, which extends under the vines located at the back of the castle. The cellar was designed to receive the grapes and vinify them, its construction is made of vaults and domes and contains imposing vats dug into the tufa stone.

Description
Second sorting in the Chenin to harvest golden grapes. Ageing is done in 400-litre barrels on fine lees for 8 to 9 months.
Clear golden colour. Complex nose of flowers and citrus. Lively and fruity on the palate, carried by an elegant woodiness. The Amélie owes its name to the first frigate on which the ship’s mate Abel Aubert Du Petit Thouars embarked (see The Estate).
This harmonious wine can be served as an aperitif from 12°, it goes very well with white meats such as a veal cutlet with cream and small white mushrooms and it goes very well with goat’s cheeses from the region. To be kept for up to 5 years.
