Description

“Alexine” and “Seigneurie” are Anjou Blanc wines

Colour: Clean, light and bright. Pale yellow colour with greyish tints. Very pleasant to look at.

Nose : The nose is a spectacle of citrus aromas, highlighting lemon, lime and grapefruit peel. And with more subtlety but no less intensity, stone fruit and floral touches. It all adds up to an extraordinary cover letter.

TASTE: On the palate, this is variety and terroir at its best. Deliciously fresh and deeply mineral, harmonised with a magnificent texture pierced by an acidity worthy of the Chenin Blancs of Alsace. A wine of mesmerising quality.

“Alexine” is a cuvée made from pretty, slightly golden grapes. Vinification and ageing in vats.
Fresh, lively, with citrus notes.
We have just harvested the grapes for the 2022 “Cuvée Alexine”, which will be available next spring.
“La Seigneurie” is a cuvée made from slightly over-ripe grapes. Vinified and aged in 400-litre French oak barrels for 9 months.
An ample, generous wine with good ageing potential.
Perfect as an aperitif or for gourmet meals.

Wine available from Vintage 2022.

Food & wine pairing: Aperitif / classic starter / quiche and savoury tart / particularly good with smoked fish and fish in sauce, its marked acidity and citrus flavour make it the ideal companion for fish dishes that are certainly fatty and blue fish. Ideal with baked turbot, grilled mackerel and a simple ‘suquet’. Perfect with all kinds of seafood and rice.
