Domaine LEDUC-FROUIN is run by Nathalie and Antoine LEDUC, the 4th generation of winegrowers on the family estate!
Our 30-hectare vineyard is located near the village of Sousigné, north of Martigné-Briand (in the heart of the Haut-Layon region). Our main red grape varieties are Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon as well as Grolleau. Chenin is the main grape variety used to make our white wines, but we also grow Chardonnay.
To promote our terroirs and the balance of the vines in their environment, our vineyards are managed using integrated production methods. We work using ecological methods, giving priority to observing the vines and respecting the environment.

Tasting
notes Our hand-harvested Cabernet d’Anjou “La Seigneurie” has a lovely, luminous pink colour. Its luscious notes of red berries and delicate sweetness make this a crisp, delightful wine to enjoy chilled from aperitif to dessert.

Harvest
The manual harvest was carried out in September 2022 by our team of around twenty people.
Vinification
The grapes are destemmed and pressed directly. The must is then statically settled. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled concrete and stainless steel vats (16°C-18°C). The wine was bottled by us at the Domaine without our troglodytic cellars in the spring of 2023.

Smoked salmon verrines, charcuterie boards, melon, strawberry charlotte, raspberries… and more, just for a moment of pleasure. Ideal as an aperitif or to accompany mixed salads, grilled meats, strawberry tarts or fruit salads. Serve chilled with charcuterie / game terrines / pork kidneys in charcuterie sauce / mironton beef / navarin lamb / assorted well-made cheeses.
