Description
The Pain Béni cuvée is distinguished by its Chenin from Touraine Azay-le-Rideau with intense golden hints. The nose is fresh, with aromas of white flowers and dried fruit. On the palate, freshness still dominates, with a roundness that occupies the taste buds. The finish is long and fruity. A “dry/tender” cuvée, with some residual sugars and ageing in foudre.
On the Pain Béni plots, the harvest is done manually and several sorting are carried out to select the most beautiful berries. The wine spends 9 months in 30-year-old barrels.
The Blessed Bread is a simple and round white, fruity on the palate. It’s a treat for the taste buds. Its sweet honey notes make it a firm favourite with connoisseurs.
The estate’s flagship cuvée, the Pain Béni comes from the plot of the same name, renowned for being easy to work with as well as for having a qualitative and well-exposed soil.
Resulting from the 2nd sorting of the harvest and then aged in 40-year-old oak barrels, this cuvée is characterized by its roundness and aromatic notes of white flowers and dried fruits.
