Appelation Saumur Champigny Côntrolée
The Domaine Saint-Jean is located in the center of Turquant and sits on 20 hectares of Saumur.
Champigny. The Anger family has been involved in winegrowing since the mid-nineteenth century. Established in 1989, Jean-Claude Anger runs his tufa house and troglodytic cellars, which are typical of the region.
Selection of Vieilles Vignes over 50 years old from the best terroirs of Domaine Saint Jean. The clay-limestone slopes and plateaus on the Saumur coast overlook the Loire.
This vineyard is managed under the Lutte Raisonnée charter. 100% Cabernet Franc, this cuvée has its own specific requirements: optimum ripeness of the harvest, homogeneity of the bunches, control of yields.
The vatting is long to obtain a concentrated wine with ripe, silky, well-melted tannins.
On the nose, a basket of red fruit that is typical of Saumur Champigny.
This cuvée goes well with red meats and cheeses.
