JASNIERES AOP L’ ORIGINE DOMAINE DE CEZIN

Created in 1937, this is one of the oldest appellations. This is the prestigious Coteaux du Loir appellation.
Planted on south-facing slopes, the vines are deeply rooted in “tuffeau”, a soft chalk that decomposes into flinty clay. This soil becomes stony and difficult to work. The 128-hectare hillside is located in just 2 communes, Lhomme and Ruillé/Loir, where the oceanic climate has its influence.
Chenin is the only grape variety used to make Jasnières. It is also the grape variety of the great white wines of the Loire Valley.
This is the prestigious Coteaux du Loir appellation. Planted on south-facing slopes, the vines are deeply rooted in the “tuffeau”. Made from Chenin grapes, this highly expressive white wine reaches its full potential after a few years. As it ages, it develops aromas of faded rose, honey and quince. Dry, it goes well with fish, poultry and goat’s cheese.
