Established in 1995, this estate covers 16 hectares. The terroir of Panloup faces south, and is an early parcel of schist with a granite vein running through it, with shallow sandy soil. Aged for 24 months, this 2010 is full-bodied, vigorous and saline on the palate. Full-bodied and energetic, the 2009 (15.5/20) will seduce you with its flavours of fruit pastes, without any heaviness. 2007 (15/20) evolves nicely on candied lemon and mirabelle plum, with the buttery generosity brought by the evolution.

Description
The history of the “Fleur de Panloup” cuvée is part of the process of gaining recognition for the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine “Goulaine” AOC. The harvest from a single parcel owes its inimitable character to its terroir, which is characterised by :
Terroir: Steep slopes facing south-west
Soil: shallow sandy on micaschists and granite
In the vineyard: yields are kept under control by natural grass cover or sometimes shallow ploughing in the middle of the row and moderate pruning. Regular ripeness checks enable us to decide on the optimum harvest date. The grapes are sorted and harvested by hand.
The vinification takes place without sulfiting. Direct pressing, settling lasting 12 to 18 hours, filtering of the lees and alcoholic fermentation are reasoned to both preserve and refine the raw material.
A minimum of 2 years of ageing on lees before bottling will accentuate its volume and power. Fleur de Panloup” has an ageing potential of over 10 years. Over time, the wine develops in terms of power and aromatic complexity, but also in its amplitude on the palate.
The Fleur de Panloup cuvées are available in several vintages that are differentiated from each other by a well-marked character.
Food & wine pairing
Gourmets will appreciate pairing the younger vintages with smoked fish or scallops.
