SAUMUR BLANC AOP CHEMIN DU MURS CHATEAU DE PARNAY
16,40 € incl. VAT
Château de Parnay covers 35 hectares. Farmed organically, the vineyard is made up of four blocks of plots, all located on exceptional clay-limestone soil. Château de Parnay is a flagship estate in the Saumur Champigny AOC. The property is located on the banks of the Loire, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In 2006, Regis Vincenot and Mathias Levron acquired this esteemed property and transformed it into a jewel of the Loire Valley, in addition to obtaining organic certification since 2013.
Mathias’ philosophy is: “Good grapes for good wines. We focused on the organic winemaking process and sustainable agriculture. To achieve our goals, we need to keep a close eye on our vines and make a careful and accurate selection of our plants.”

Description
The serene yellow colour, with delicate golden hues, is luminous and crystalline. It reflects the purity of hand-picked, ripe Chenin grapes. On the nose, the complexity of the grape variety is revealed, with aromas of very ripe white and yellow fruit (apricots, peaches, quinces and mirabelle plums), a hint of oak from its fermentation and ageing in barrels and a hint of butterscotch.
The attack on the palate is marvellous: round, enveloping… just like the very ripe apricot and peach, but a lovely freshness provides a very invigorating structural dynamic for noble pairings with fish and shellfish.

Food & wine pairing: Withraw fish, but also grilled fish, shellfish (langoustines, lobsters, lobsters) hard cheeses (comté, mimolette…) Paired with beautiful regional cuisine, or for a cocktail, this wine will seduce you.
For himself, as an aperitif with appetizers, scallop cassolette in Noilly, lamb brains, pikeperch poached with beurre blanc, cow’s tome and matured goat cheese
