Le Puy Notre Dame is one of the Saumur region’s finest winegrowing areas, home to a host of talented winemakers, including Franck Bimont at Domaine des Guyons.
On this 19-hectare estate, the vines, which have an average age of 50 years, grow on Turonian soils.
The limestone in particular gives the wine its freshness and finesse, but the tuffeau has also enabled huge cellars to be built, allowing the wine to mature quietly.
Franck Bimont produces a range of highly expressive, elegant wines.

Saumur “Vent Du Nord” – Blanc – 2020 – Domaine des Guyons – Franck Bimont

Recommended serving temperature: 12-13°C.

Cellaring potential: 5 to 10 years from vintage.

Franck Bimont works the soil with no chemical fertilisers. The different plots that Franck Bimont works on allow the ripening to be spread out according to their exposure and orientation. They make non-thermo-regulated wine without adding any inputs. The wine is matured in vats for several weeks without malolactic fermentation.

His harvest of ripe, unbotrytised grapes is aimed at producing a taut, mineral dry white wine.

Food & wine pairing : Serve chilled with shellfish or oysters, fish in meunière sauce or vegetable starters (green salad, vegetable pie, etc.).
